Membership is for the year with exclusive use for tennis players between May and September each year. After that time tennis players can still access the courts but need to make sure it has not been booked out by another group. Subs are due during April of each year. The subs are used to buy nets, replace floodlight bulbs, purchase tennis equipment (eg. match balls), ball machine for members, to purchase a temporary clubhouse, to paint the courts, to resurface the courts and more!

Other clubs exist, Lorton and Maryport for example. Joining Cockermouth Tennis Club puts Cockermouth Tennis on the map. There is also less travelling involved. The more members we have the more of an impact we will have within the Grasmoor Sports Centre as a whole in order to influence future use of the area. It is also the only place in this area that has any chance of indoor facilities. The question ultimately is how much influence do we want in the community and what are we going to do about it? Without the club at The Grasmoor Courts, there would be no club in Cockermouth - there is nowhere else to go! We need as many members as possible all pulling in the same direction.

ADULT SOCIAL TENNIS
Social Tennis Mondays and Thursdays from 6.30pm onward.

Junior Tennis (with LTA/PTR Licensed coach Chris Lockyer)
Sessions run in line with school terms. There is a charge for these sessions of £3.50 per player.
